Oracle DATABASE OFFLINE BACKUP

                       Step by step guide to take SAP backup on Oracle DB

DATABASE BACKUP:

OS- Windows Server 2003-64Bit
SAP: ECC6.0 SR3
Database: Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 64-BIT
Backup Tool: BRTOOLS
Backup Type: offline_force
SID: DEC
Note: Take The Offline Backup of Database and Take Backup of Controlfiles.
 Login as <SID>adm 
 Edit the “init<SID>.sap”  file stored in ‘/oracle/<SID>/102/database.
Open “initDEC.sap” with notepad





Save “init.<SID>.sap” File. And close it
Now open cmd
Type Command
>BRTOOLS
 Note:- To use BRTOOLS you should login with <SID>adm os user.




Select 1 for backup and you will see the following screen
Edit the Values of above screen
Select 2 for editing the Backup Device type
Press  “c” to continue


Press “c” to continue 



Enter



Now Backup is complicated with return code 0



[2] Now Take the backup of controlfile



Control file is generated in directory copy and paste in backup directory
Copy and paste in


Now Backup is completed We can Restore the system with this backup
